Series-built yachts
Vaton design office has been responsible
for numerous series-built sailboats: light alloy models from
yards like Pourveau, Alubat and Malt (Javelin), traditional
composite units from Kelt and Kirié composite timber
from the H2O yard (Ionic).
The Kelt 8.5m that became Feeling 29 took
the Boat-of-the-Year award 1984 – the best-seller of its
epoch with more than 1200 units built. Her big sister Kelt 39
was also a big success. Very good cruising boats, stable and
very fast, they also had good regatta results. Their
equivalents followed when the shipyard was taken over by
Kirié, with the appearance of new units like the 286,
346 and 396.

Pouvreau built the 1130 and 1300 series,
fine high-performance sailing boats for
the high seas ; and Alubat produced the 33
ft series.
