The 70-foot IOR Milène built for Albert
Mirlesse came out of the CMN boatyard in 1984. She was the very
first Maxi in composite: pre-impregnated epoxy, glass, carbon and a
first ever by heated female moulding.
She sailed all over the globe, singling herself out
from other maxis by her fractioned rig, unusual for this size of yacht.
Miléne performed brilliantly to take first place in the
Nioulargue-86 and in the Maxi Series regattas from 1987 to 1993 won
prizes at St Tropez, St Thomas, Newport, Porto Cervo, Palma and
